NekoWorks was created with one purpose: to empower creators who have been limited by restrictive, overpriced, outdated, or unreliable tools. We believe creative control belongs to the artist — not to corporations, subscription models, or gatekeepers who dictate how people should express themselves.
When I started creating video for social media in the summer of 2024, I quickly discovered that I couldn’t find a camera app with all of the production features I needed and expected. The apps that covered some of those capabilities often came with subscriptions, data mining, or other restrictions attached. In some cases, even after paying a subscription fee, users were still being shown ads.
That is not the internet I grew up with, and when server infrastructure is not required to provide a feature, I see no reason to build unnecessary recurring costs around it.
When I was a child, logging into a BBS or opening a web browser filled me with a sense of awe and wonder about what computers could make possible. The internet felt like a place where creativity, curiosity, and individual freedom could flourish.
Today, opening a new app can produce a very different reaction: How much is this going to cost me? What am I going to be asked to subscribe to? How much of my data are they going to collect?
One of my highest priorities with NekoWorks is to restore at least one corner of software to what I believe it should be: tools and resources that put control and creativity back into your hands.
NekoWorks does not collect your personal activity for advertising or data mining. Crash reports and bug reports are the only diagnostic data we receive, and those are sent only when you choose to send them.
Our work spans next-generation production software, AI-augmented workflows, real-time video systems, and a multi-platform ecosystem designed from the ground up to remove friction and amplify imagination. Everything we build serves one philosophy:
Tools should adapt to the creator — not the other way around.
The video-production camera app I originally went looking for is now something I built myself, and it is available to you as Nekoworks LIVE Producer. More applications following the same philosophy are on the way.
While NekoWorks begins as a small experimental studio, the vision is far larger: an entire future-tech suite that merges creativity, intelligence, and freedom into something the world hasn’t seen before.
And whenever the technology allows us to do so:
